Are DropTop products waterproof?
They’re built for real weather: PU-coated fabrics, YKK AquaGuard® zippers, and a leak-proof wet pocket/tube keep rain contained. They’re weather-resistant, not submersible—rinse and air-dry after heavy use.

What colors are available?
Current finishes are Black and Glowstick Gray (bags and umbrellas).

Is an umbrella included with the bags?
Yes. Each bag ships with one DropTop compact rain umbrella that nests in the dedicated wet pocket. The umbrella is also available separately if you want a spare.

How do the modular straps work?
Quick-release hardware lets you wear it waist, sling, or crossbody. The strap is left/right friendly and adjusts quickly over outerwear.

How does the reflective coating help at night?
High-visibility reflective accents “wake up” in headlights or streetlights so you’re seen when it matters most without changing the look in daylight.

Will other umbrellas fit the wet pocket/tube?
It’s optimized for the DropTop compact umbrella. Most similarly sized compact umbrellas will fit; oversized or long-handle styles won’t.

How do I clean and dry the bag/umbrella ?
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Open the wet pocket/tube and air-dry fully after use. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

What’s the capacity like?

• 2L Bag: phone, wallet, keys, earbuds + umbrella.
• 5L Bag: daily kit (small tablet/e-reader), charger, sunglasses, wallet + sealed umbrella bay.

What makes the YKK AquaGuard® zippers "marine-grade"?
These zippers feature high-strength, non-corrosive polyacetal coils that resist salt-stripping and rust. The reinforced “Racquet Coil” design provides superior abrasion resistance and durability in harsh, humid environments.

Are the YKK AquaGuard® zippers leakproof?
The zippers are highly water-resistant, though not leakproof. The exterior coating prevents water from getting into the bag, but the zippers can weep under pressure, meaning the zippers are not as leakproof as our TPU lining. Avoid tipping the bag toward the zipper to ensure moisture stays fully contained.

Are all the pockets leakproof?
No. For bags with multiple compartments, only the dedicated “wet pocket” features a waterproof TPU lining. This barrier keeps moisture from your umbrella fully contained, protecting the dry items stored in the other compartments of your bag.

What is the 300T hydrophobic canopy?
This ultra-dense fabric features a whopping 300-thread count that forces rain to bead and roll off instantly. A quick shake removes almost all surface moisture, ensuring the canopy dries fast and resists wind better than standard, lower-density umbrellas.

Can I put a soaking wet umbrella directly into the bag?
Yes. The bag is specifically designed with a leakproof interior lining to contain the moisture from a wet umbrella. This prevents water from dripping onto your clothes, car seats, or office floor. However, we recommend shaking the umbrella out before stowing to minimize standing water.

Is the umbrella windproof?
The Droptop features a reinforced fiberglass frame designed to flex rather than break. In the event of an extreme gust, the canopy is designed to invert without snapping the ribs, allowing you to easily flip it back into place.

No-Nuisance Returns

Adventure is unpredictable; our return policy is not. If your DROPTOP isn't the perfect travel companion, send it back within 30 days from the date of delivery in its original condition (unused, unaltered, with tags attached) for a full refund.

For Buy with Prime Orders: Initiate your return directly through your Amazon account. It’s the seamless, label-free, "drop-and-go" experience you’re used to at eligible local drop-off points.

For Non-Prime Orders: Simply forward your delivery notification email to  returns@droptop.com to start your return. Indicate your reason for the return in the body of the email.  We’ll generate a return shipping label for you. Once received and inspected, the refund process begins.  The cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your final refund.

No-Nuisance Warranty

In the rare instance your gear arrives with a manufacturing defect or fails due to a hardware malfunction, we’ll swap it out. We provide replacements at our expense.

To report a defect, simply forward your delivery notification email to returns@droptop.com within 30 days of delivery. You must include clear photos showcasing the defect to enable us to evaluate the defect or failure. Once the failure is verified, we will ship a replacement unit at no cost to you.
